Approaching and receding lunar shadow
Approach of the lunar shadow. Shortly before totality, the lunar shadow approaches from northwest.
Receding lunar shadow. Some seconds after the end of totality, the lunar shadow recedes to the southeast.

Sun sickles under a tree
The numerous spaces between the leaves of the tree act like a pinhole camera and
project sickle-like images of the partially eclipsed sun onto the ground. A white sheet of cloth
has been used to improve visibility of the projected images.
