Daytime Venus

Venus was observed on 17.5.2004 during plain daylight, at 17 hrs local time. Maksutov lens 1000/10, Philips Toucam. Left: with IR-passfilter at ca. 685nm, right: in VIS, with IR-block filter.






Some days later, on 30.5., the Venus sickle was considerably narrower (2% illuminated), and Venus was in a distance of only ca. 13° from the Sun.
