Solar prominences recorded with a webcam.

This solar prominence was visible on 27.2.2003; note the change in aspect over the three hours of observation.

Vixen refractor 90/1000mm, prominence attachment from Baader Planetarium with H-alpha-filter 1.3 nm and excenter, Philips TouCam Pro 740 webcam. Recorded were a sequence of 500 images, the best 10% thereof have been added and processed with the Giotto astro video software.

The time indicated in the individual images is CET / MEZ.
