5 images of the Moon stitched together to form a panorama. The individual images were taken with a
C11 telescope and a modified Canon D600, using a 742nm IR pass filter, on 8 June 2014 at around 22h MESZ.
Altitude of the Moon was 30° only. Processed with Fitswork and Avistack, image is 50% of original size.
The images have been recorded in near infrared wavelength in an attempt to minimize the blurring effect of the
atmosphere, as the longer wavelengths of infrared are less affected by atmospheric turbulence than
visible light, and should result in a sharper image.
