Comet Machholz on 10 Jan 2005, ca. 21h30 UTC. Composite of 6 images with
1 minute exposure time each, obtained with
Canon D300, 800 ISO, 300mm f/4, at Munich.
16. Jan. 2005, ca. 23h UTC. Composite of 13 images with 60s exposure time each,
Canon D300, ISO 1600, 900mm f/6
Two of the above individual images habe been combined to give a stereo image.
If viewed from a distance of about 1 meter, the comet can be seen in front of the
background stars.
